Mohamed Elneny breaks 2015/2016 Premier League record by playing most passes by one player in single match
While Arsenal fans were excited by the arrival of Mohamed Elneny to
the Emirates in January, there was certainly a sense of hesitation that
greeted the Egyptian’s move to north London.
Arsene Wenger’s built a career on unearthing gems in the transfer
market and very few had heard of the former Basel midfielder before his
move to the Gunners.
The 23-year-old took time to settle at the club but a spectacular
goal against Barcelona in the Champions League gave Gooners a glimpse of
what they can expect from the Egypt international.
The midfielder was given a starting berth in today’s 4-0 win against
Watford today and, after a fine performance, the midfielder broke a
2015/2016 record by playing the most passes in one match by a single
player with an incredible 121.
